This Privacy Policy explains how YesChef Kitchen Systems ("YesChef", "we", "us") collects, uses and protects the information you provide when using the YesChef app and this website. Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to run your kitchen account:

• Account details: your name, email address and kitchen name.
• Operational data: the information you enter to run your kitchen — recipes, temperature logs, cleaning records and invoices.

We do not collect payment card details through the app or this website, and we do not buy or import personal data about you from third parties.

How your data is stored

Your data is held in an encrypted cloud database and is transmitted over secure, encrypted connections (HTTPS) at all times. The app is offline-first: your data is also held locally on your device so you can keep working without an internet connection, and it syncs securely to the cloud when you reconnect.

How we use your data

We use your information solely to provide and operate the YesChef service — to store your records, sync them across your devices, and support your account. We do not use your operational data for advertising.

Data sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal or operational data, and we never share it for advertising. Your kitchen's data belongs to you. We rely on a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") purely to operate the service on our behalf — under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only for that purpose.

Optional cloud recipe scanning

The app can create a recipe from a photo. This reading is done on your device by default. If the on-device scan cannot read an image — for example, difficult handwriting — you may choose to use "enhanced cloud scan." Only then, and only for that one photo, is the image sent over an encrypted connection to Google Cloud's Vision service to extract the text.

• Opt-in: it never happens unless you tap to use it, and the app asks you to confirm first.
• Not stored: the photo is processed in the European Union, read in memory to return the text, and then discarded. Google does not use it to train its services.
• Recipes only: this applies to recipe photos alone. Invoice photos are always read on your device and are never sent to any third party.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct any data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Delete your data and close your account.

Cookies and tracking

The YesChef app does not use cookies. This website uses no tracking cookies and does not profile visitors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
